For your appointment, you will be directed to lie back in one of our relaxing treatment rooms as a member of our team cleanses the treatment area of any oil, dirt, or cosmetic products. The area may be shaved if necessary so the Lyra laser can work more effectively. During laser hair removal, a team member will stretch out the area to create a clear pathway between the root of the hair follicle and the laser. The laser's energy will target and kill the hair follicle, which prevents the hair from growing back. While the procedure is relatively gentle, you may feel a slight sensation, like a rubber band snapping your skin; however, you should feel no significant discomfort, thanks to the device's cooling tip. After your treatment, you are able to resume your daily activities, but you should refrain from strenuous activity or sun exposure for at least a day to let the treated skin heal. At home following your treatment, we suggest soothing creams or cold packs to treat any discomfort. On average, you will need to get 3 – 5 treatments over 3 – 4 weeks to achieve your ideal results.
